He is perhaps best known as the singer and co-composer of "Stand by Me," a US top 10 hit in both 1961 and 1987 and a #1 hit in the UK in 1987, and as one of the principal lead singers of the R&B vocal group The Drifters. King was born Benjamin Earl Nelson in Henderson, North Carolina and moved to Harlem, New York City, New York, at the age of nine. In 1958, he joined a doo wop group called The Five Crowns. Later that year, The Drifters' manager fired the members of the group and replaced them with The Five Crowns, who had performed several engagements with the Drifters. Nelson co-wrote the first hit by the new version of the Drifters, "There Goes My Baby" (1959). He also sang lead, using his birth name, on "Save the Last Dance for Me", a song written by Doc Pomus and Mort Shuman, "Dance With Me", "This Magic Moment", "I Count the Tears" and "Lonely Winds". King only recorded ten songs with The Drifters, including a non-single called "Temptation" which was later redone by Johnny Moore. Ben E. Board Games That Require Drawing

Board games often cover a variety of bases on what it actually entails to play them. Some are focused on strategic movements and the chance element that dice rolling brings. Others focus on the trivia that is known by a player and sometimes on how quickly they can recall that trivia. There are a few board games out there, however, who focus more on the creative aspects that a player might have. In particular, there are a few games that test a player's skill at drawing. This does sound daunting to some players who may feel that their artistic skills are not up to par. However, these games often make allotments for this handicap and it's rare that a game will test the technical prowess of an artist. Usually, one of these games is more interested in how well a player can get their message across.

One of these games is Cranium, which actually tests players in a variety of areas. Cranium has the standard trivia and verbal questions that many games rely on, but it can also test not only the performance skills of a player, but also the artistic ones. With a typical game of Cranium, players will sometimes have to sketch out a certain word or phrase for teammates to guess. Sometimes, there are even restrictions on how they do this, such as drawing with one's eyes closed, or having to draw the picture without ever picking the pencil up from the paper. This can present quite an obstacle, but the better a player knows how to convey a message, the more successful they will be.

Another incredibly popular drawing board game would be Pictionary. This game is devised around two teams moving around a board which is marked with different symbols, standing for different categories. The teams must draw certain phrases for their teammates to guess and the better the teams do with the drawing and guessing, the faster they proceed along the board. If the correct phrase is guessed before the specified time limit is up, that team gets to continue along the path. If the phrase is not guessed, the team must remain at the spot they are currently at and the game play passes to the next team.

Each time that something needs to be drawn, the pad and pencil is shuffled to the next player in the group. Everyone gets a chance to draw and this also helps the teams be a little more fair, as some players will be naturally more talented at drawing than others. The players all rotate drawing in between the teams and by making their way along the game board, one team will eventually reach the finish line and win the game. The game is considered to be a very popular choice for parties, with unlimited possibilities presenting themselves for the game, as every player will draw something differently than another.

Games which test the creativity of the players often experience a high popularity, as the players like to be challenged in ways that don't necessarily test their random trivia knowledge. These games which want players to try things in a new way are highly accepted among groups and can be quite popular with parties. Drawing games, in particular, are often highly enjoyed even by people who do not feel that they have any special talent with sketching. Visio 2007 - How to Create a Custom Shape

If you are anything like me, you sometimes find that to represent a specific item you need to find a shape that simply does not exist anywhere else. This may be a piece of equipment, part of a plant, production line or assembly facility, or it might be a shape that will represent some abstract concept. Very often I find that the client has quite definite ideas about what this should look like, whether it exists or not!

In any event, there will be times when you need to create a one-off Custom Shape to use in a particular drawing but by using Visio 2007 this is actually not a problem.

You can use the drawing tools available from the Drawing toolbar (View > Toolbars to turn it on) or you can use pre-defined shapes from the Basic Shapes Stencil and edit them as required. Visio is capable of generating some quite sophisticated shapes by using a combination of these tools, but I would always suggest conducting a search before you begin - the chances are, someone else will have already created just what you are looking for!

If you find that you do have to go it alone, you will probably find that the Operations command from the Shape menu comes in very handy. I use this tool a lot when combining shapes into a new Custom Shape because it allows you to Intersect shapes as well as combining them with the Union command, and of course you cam Fragment or Subtract one shape from another to get the required effect if you need to.

Rather less well-used are the Join, Trim and Offset commands available from the same menu. These allow greater flexibility when modifying standard shapes. For example, when "cutting" part of a shape away you can superimpose another shape on top of it and use the Trim command to treat each part of the overlap as a new component which is then editable independently. The Join command allows separate components to then be joined to form a new Custom Shape.

The Offset command is a fantastically useful feature for creating copies of a shape at a predetermined distance - for example a circle could have perfect copies of it inside and outside to form concentric circles which could then be moved to for a cam, or have corresponding rectangles added to become the basis of a gear wheel.

How to Sort 2D Points in C#

How can we sort points in c#? There is no one way to sort points, it all depends on which value we are looking at: X or Y. Sorting respective to the X values will sort an array of points from left to right (or vice versa). Likewise sorting the Y values sorts the points top to bottom. This is useful when applying more advanced processing algorithms to a list of points. An example is image distortion agorithms, where a list of sorted corners is crucial.

To sort the points, we are going to create a class that inherits the interface IComparer. The main meat of the function will be the Compare function which will, depending on whether to sort left to right or top to bottom, will compare the X or Y values of the points. The actual sorting algorithm is handled by the .Net Framework, all we need to do in the Compare function is establish what makes one point greater than, less than, or equal to a second point.

Here is the header of the function:

int IComparer.Compare(object a, object b)

Note that the parameter types are object, this is so the .Net Framework can easily call the function later. Accordingly the objects need to be converted to Points before we do anything. Simply use (Point)a and (Point)b.

Notice how the function Compare returns an int, the int has to be one of three values:

0 - The two objects are equal

1 - The first object is greater than the second object

-1 - The first object is less than the second object

Then calling the actual sorting is quite simple:

Array.Sort(pointArray, new PointSort(PointSort.Mode.X));

Since the actual sorting is done by the .Net Framework, the process has already been optimized to run at decent speeds. I detail I did not include is that the PointSort class needs to know by which value (X or Y) to sort by, that's what PointSort.Mode is for. Excel Forms Using VBA

An excel form using VBA is basically used to create complex programs and macros that handle large amount of data. These excel based forms created using visual basic applications language are particularly useful for accounting and financial programs. This can also be used for creating surveys. Without VBA creating worksheets and reports on excel can be a tedious task and employees may have to spend days on completing a report. The same report can be easily completed in a short period of time using VBA.

While working on excel form using VBA companies are not only able to create complex programs but these can be created using a great deal of flexibility and also provide versatility. Working in Excel form using VBA allows for faster accomplishment of tasks as well as completion of complex calculations. Since complex reports can be created fairly accurately, it ensures that wastage of time does not occur.

Manual tasks become automatic while working in excel form using VBA and so work efficiency largely improves. The complex programs created through VBA can be used in financial planning, accounting, management of stocks, dashboard maintenance, sales reporting etc.

If you are looking for free online games? It isn't easy to find good game sites without too much ads in Google. Most sites have a lot of banner ads, pop-ups and thousands of boring games. Often, by the time you have found a great site with funny games, and not too much ads, your leisure time is up.

Most today's games are made in flash or java, both technologies have advantages and disadvantages. Flash games load quit fast, but are limited in graphics. Java loads slower... For both options, you need to download a plugin. These can be found easily.

The game features Simon, a normal baby who was enjoying a normal day at the beach with his brother until they found something not so normal: a treasure with gold and diamonds! Of course, they aren't the only one that want the treasure, so Simon and his brother are overrun by pirates and other enemies. Simon and his brother therefore board their trusty raft and fight back.
